Instead, the punch-free installation should be reserved for smooth surfaces such as tile, ceramic, glass, and wood, with a minimum width requirement of 3.2 inches (8cm). The installation should be as close to the floor as possible to prevent babies from crawling underneath.

For a successful installation, we recommend pressing each baseplate for 30 seconds to ensure a sturdy hold, and waiting 24 hours before using the gate. This punch-free installation method eliminates the need for drilling, protecting your walls and doors while allowing for a quick 3-minute setup.
